About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented independent consultant to conduct laboratory research, testing, and analysis of geopolymer materials in collaboration with our senior technical officer. Your work will help us research and develop, optimize, commercialize, and certify existing products and new materials that meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments to develop and refine geopolymer materials.
  • Perform routine and specialized tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports on findings.
  • Assist in the development of new formulations and materials to meet specific project needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements in the lab.
  • Collaborate with the research and development team to optimize material properties and production processes.
  • Support laboratory and warehouse operations by maintaining equipment in clean and working order and coordinating needed supplies and material inventory.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with concrete or ceramics.
  • Familiar with ASTM standards related to concrete.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and keep a clean workspace.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to sustainability.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting a plus, preferably with a focus on construction materials or geopolymers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, a plus, but not required

Sample Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing and design tasks, contributing creative ideas and supporting the implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Participate in, and at times take notes for, weekly team meetings, relevant events, and other company activities.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts by supporting grant writing, donor communication, and other related activities.
  • Provide support to various team members on projects, offering coordination, communication, logistical, and administrative assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Completed or pending Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, social media marketing and design, project management, and multitasking skills.
