Our team boasts over four decades of expertise in the construction sector, complemented by a globally acknowledged proficiency in geopolymer chemistry and its uses. We produce GeoCement among other geopolymer-based products, and work with our sister company, Sustainable Construction Solutions, and our partner, Constructions-3D, to develop and distribute 3D construction printers, mixers, and other equipment for the application of geopolymers.

William Hoff, Founder, Senior Advisor

With over 42 years of experience in construction specializing in concrete, structural iron, and crane operations, William brings unique skills to Geopolymer International.

As an avid entrepreneur passionate about sustainable building materials, William started the company “Out of the Box Construction” in 2015 to lower the cost of building innovative structures using the latest technologies.

His current focus is on geopolymers, 3D concrete printing, and modular housing. William is taking a supportive position at GPI and looks forward to spending his free time vacationing and fishing with his wife Ghanima.

Tarek Maassarani, Chief Executive Officer

With over two decades of diverse experience under his belt, Tarek has been at the forefront of initiating, designing, and steering work teams and complex social and ecological sustainability projects across the US, Africa, Middle East, and South Asia.

Tarek’s journey has been anything but conventional, spanning roles such as lawyer, climate advocate, organizational consultant, dialogue facilitator, author and filmmaker, Georgetown professor, Guinness world record holder in long-distance kick scootering, and conservation researcher, living amongst hippos and elephants in a tent at the edge of a Namibian national park.

Wendy Young, Office Manager

Coming from a family with dozens of cousins and siblings, Wendy learned early on how to delegate tasks and strategically compromise.

After graduating from Rice Business School, Wendy went on to work in several industries including residential and commercial construction, real estate, industrial waste repurposing, and the legal field, all while owning and operating her own catering business for 30+ years.

Slowly transitioning into retirement, Wendy enjoys spending time with her twin granddaughters and supporting her son as he carries on the family passion for cooking as a chef.

In addition, Wendy and her partner, Buzzy, just completed their ultimate passion project: building their forever retirement home from the ground up in only 4 months.

Jose V. Emiliano, Senior Technical Advisor

Born and raised in Brazil, Emiliano has several decades of experience in the ceramic industry and holds a Master’s and PhD in Materials Science and Engineering.

Over the past 15 years, he has focused on researching and developing new cementitious materials, particularly geopolymers.

Four years ago, he moved to Singapore to establish a new research and development program for geopolymers and now works as a Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore.

In his free time, he enjoys reading, music, traveling, and playing tennis.

Ricardo Ron Pulido, Green Construction Materials Internship

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Ricardo Ron Pulido has always been captivated by the art of building and creating. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Ricardo has dedicated his academic journey to exploring the principles of design, mechanics, and innovation. Ricardo is motivated to use his degree to be involved in innovations that push toward a sustainable future. Beyond academics, Ricardo’s commitment to precision and teamwork extends into his personal life as well, where he enjoys running, playing soccer, and staying curious about the world around him.

Carolina Trevino, Marketing & Operation Support Intern

Carolina Trevino Salas is a marketing and design professional with a strong foundation in product design and strategic communications. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications at Georgetown University, she applies her expertise to brand development, consumer engagement, and operations support. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, she is dedicated to creating effective, design-driven marketing solutions.

Alfred Zhou, Sales & Operation Support Intern

Growing up in both Beijing and Toronto, Alfred is a current undergraduate student from the University of California, Irvine.

His passion for green technology and his constant pursuit of sustainability brought him to GPI.
As Alfred is in his third year of study of business economics, he wishes to contribute to the development of the construction industry by seeking investments for the team and supporting the expansion of the company. The entrepreneurial journey of his grandfather consistently inspires him to take risks and be down to ground.

In his free time, Alfred performs stand-up comedy as his “side hustle”, and enjoying playing basketball, pickleball, and tennis. He is also extremely proud to be a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
