Truss Printers

Check the website for our sister company, Sustainable Construction Solutions, for information on our truss and MaxiPrinters, which can use either geopolymer or Portland mortar – allowing for the semi-automated construction of houses and other structures with complex and customized designs, less material waste, and shorter building times than traditional methods.

SCS makes gantry or overhead-style printers with stage trussing, using different truss, motor/controllers, drives, and operating systems to customize the dimensions, functions, and strength of the printer to specific needs. Trussing keeps the printers light-weight, inexpensive, and modular. We sell our printers at some of the most competitive prices in the industry, providing the guidance and technical support to get your printer assembled and your project running.

Starting at $45,000, our 3m x 3m x 3m gantry truss printer, “the Sophomore”, comes as an assemble-yourself kit and offers the perfect entry point for universities, labs, and those new to the field. Students will gain experience assembling the printer and can easily modify its dimensions and other hardware. Many non-metal components are 3D printed and can be replaced as such. The printer is lightweight and can be moved around on retractable wheels.
